Daniel Sabsay commented on two chapters of the book «Challenges for the strengthening of democracy in Argentina» In the series of meetings of Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires two chapters of the book, published by CADAL and Konrad Adenauer Foundation were presented. Legislative Transparency Awards CeremonyRelated to the publication of CADAL's Document number 122 on “
The access to public information of Argentine legislators
”, the Executive Committee decided to ask its authors to give awards and special mentions for legislative transparency 2011, in a ceremony that took place on september 2. The award was granted to senator María Eugenia Estenssoro and the special mentions were for her coleagues of the Senate Gerardo Morales and Sonia Escudero, and representatives Laura Alonso and Héctor Piemonte.

Gabriel Salvia had a meeting with Vice-President CobosWith the intention of fostering a political-administrative reform of the Federal Legislative Branch, Gabriel Salvia, Chairman of CADAL, met with Ing. Julio Cobos, Vice-President of Argentina, at his office in the Federal Senate. Salvia highlighted the importance of improving public service by hiring by competition all the permanent staff. On this regard, the head of CADAL, told Cobos that an integral reform of the Federal Government "should begin at home", that is, at the Federal Congress, specially in the Senate, where the number of temporary personel by legislator outnumbers by three times those at the House of Representatives.
