CADAL FOUNDATION is the only non-profit organization established in Argentina whose mission is to promote international democratic solidarity. That is, the moral obligation of those of us who were helped under dictatorship and now live in democracy to show solidarity with those who in different parts of the world are currently living in dictatorships, a third of the countries in the world.
A dream of CADAL FOUNDATION is to create the “Museum of International Democratic Solidarity”, a physical space with an exhibition that remembers people, governments and foreign organizations that showed solidarity during the last military dictatorship in Argentina, since no such space of Memory does yet recognize their work. Thus, the museum would devote its exhibition, on the one hand, to the impact of persons like Jimmy Carter, Pat Derian, Tex Harris, Enrico Calamai, Dwight Fulford, Robert Cox, among others; and, on the other, make visible current situations of dictatorships as a gesture of international democratic solidarity.
The “Museum of International Democratic Solidarity” would require a facility for that purpose in the city of Buenos Aires, which would become the headquarters of CADAL FOUNDATION, its conditioning and equipment.
To help realize this ambitious dream, we invite you to include CADAL FOUNDATION in your will.
According to Argentine law, there are forced heirs, direct descendants (children), direct ascendants (parents) and/or spouses, and a portion available for a non-profit organization such as CADAL FOUNDATION. In an inheritance without forced heirs, the totality of the inheritance can be destined to CADAL FOUNDATION.
