Meeting with Hans Blomeier in Montevideo

After leaving his post as Director for Latin America in Berlin, Hans Blomeier arrives at Montevideo to represent Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uruguay, a country in the region where KAS underlines that ''the democratic government is most rooted in Latin America'' and where ''political life is characterized by respect, fair play and pluralism''.

With a dinner at restaurant La Perdiz, at Punta Carretas in Montevideo, CADAL welcomed the new officer of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Uruguay, Hans Blomeier.

Blomeier was instrumental in the support of CADAL in its beginings when he served as officer of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Argentina, and contributed to form links with political referenst in Chile, his previous country.

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung started an international work in Uruguay in 1967. Since 2012 Montevideo has a national representation in Uruguay as well as a regional program of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung of "Political Parties and Democracy in Latin America".
