The next legislative elections in Venezuela

The head of CADAL, Gabriel Salvia, participated as moderator of a panel at the 19th edition of Forum 2000, held at the House of Europe in Prague, capital of Czech Republic. In the panel participated as exhibitors Mitzy Capriles de Ledezma, Dita Charanzová, Jose Honegger Molina Garcia and Tamara Suju.

In the panel the speakers discussed on the current political, economic and social situation in Venezuela, the lack of guarantees for electoral transparency, persecution and arbitrary imprisonment of opponents, and the role of the international democratic community in demanding respect for human rights and fair elections.

Mitzy Capriles de Ledezma, the wife of Antonio Ledezma, Mayor of Caracas who is being held in prison; Tamara Suju, a Venezuelan human rights activist; Dita Charanzová MEP; and Father Jose Honegger Molina Garcia, who performes an outstanding social work in Caracas participated in the panel. Gabriel Salvia, Chairman of CADAL, was responsible for moderating the panel.
