CADAL at Think Tank Summit in Montreal

The summit was organized by the Think Tank Program and Civil Societies (TTCSP) of the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania and the center For International Governance Innovation (CIGI). The Center for the Opening and Develoment of Latin America (CADAL) was one of the Argentine think tanks that participated in the summit. CADAL was represented by Sybil Rhodes, Vice-president and Academic director of the institution.

Between the dates 28 and 30 of September in the Hotel Omni Mont- Royal of Montreal, the III Global Summit of think thanks was held. The Summit main theme was “Responding globalization and its discontents: the roll of the think thanks”.

The Summit served to explore the ways in which the think thanks make a difference and find solutions for the actual challenges of public politics and how this is becoming more relevant in tremulous times. The summit was also mainly focus on sharing the best practices for fundraising, recruitment of staff, the use of new technologies and an answer for the discontent public.
