Exchange among Cuban artists and artistic residence project

In MUNAR, a space in the city of Buenos Aires where the link with contemporary art is promoted, an open breakfast was held among independent Cuban artists of the San Isidro Movement with the R.A.R.O. Collective that proposes a traveling artistic residence program in countries such as Argentina, Chile and Spain.

The title of the meeting was “Challenges of the management of independent cultural spaces and projects” and emerged as a space for dialogue to discuss and think about the different cultural landscapes, their difficulties and particular solutions.

Cuban artists belonging to the San Isidro Group presented the scenarios and conflicts faced by independent artists in their creation process and in the exercise of their fundamental rights and freedoms, in a political and social context such as that of Cuba, crossed by censorship and arbitrariness towards those who disagree or question.
