The 2009 edition of the Latin American Program of Academic Extension began.

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 edition of the ''Latin American Program of Academic Extension'' began with a lesson in charge of Andrés Cañizález about ''A decade with Chávez: Journalism, media and politics in turbulent times''.

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 edition of the "Latin American Program of Academic Extension" began with a lesson in charge of Andrés Cañizález about "A decade with Chávez: Journalism, media and politics in turbulent times". Andrés Cañizález is an investigator for the Investigation Center of the Catholic University Andrés Bello (CIC-UCAB), specialized in Political Comunications and Freedom of Speech, correspondent in Venezuela of the organization Reporteros Sin Fronteras www.rsf.fr and columnist of the newspapers El Universal (Caracas), Tal Cual (Caracas) and El Tiempo (Puerto La Cruz).  

The Latin American Program of Academic Extension consisted of series of clases in charge of diferent speakers who present issues linked to the areas in which CADAL works: democratic governance, economics and institutions, freedom of speech and international promotion of human rights. The LAPAE is directed to volunteers, internships and members of The University Net of CADAL.
