Following the provisions of its bylaws, the CADAL Foundation renewed its authorities appointing the new members of the Board of Directors: Sybil Rhodes has been elected to continue as President, Norma Morandini will occupy the Vice Presidency, Carlos Fara will now be the Secretary, Bernabé García Hamilton the Treasurer and José Montaldo the Protesorer.
Sybil Rhodes is the current Director of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at CEMA University, and of the Master of International Studies. She has a Ph.D. and Ma. in Political Science (Stanford University). She holds a BA in Latin American Studies (the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill). She is a specialist in international relations and comparative politics. This will be Rhodes' second term as President of CADAL and she previously served for the Academic Council.
Norma Morandini, writer and journalist, develops as a columnist for the newspapers La Nación and Clarín and collaborates with El País de España, also, she worked as a correspondent for the foreign press. She did a special coverage on the Trial of the Military Juntas of Argentina for the Brazilian newspaper O Globo. For her journalistic work, she won several awards. She was a national deputy from 2005 to 2009 and a Senator for Argentina between 2009 and 2015. Her legislative work was dedicated to Human Rights and Freedom of Speech. Between 2015 and 2019, she directed the Human Rights Observatory of the Argentine Senate. In 2011 she ran as candidate for Vice President in Argentina. She is the author of a number of books. Since the creation of CADAL, Morandini has participated as a speaker in several of its events on Freedom of the Press, Human Rights, and Democracy.
Carlos Fara, is the current President of Carlos Fara & Asociados, since 1991 and has been in political consulting for more than 35 years. He is a specialist in Public Opinion, Electoral Campaigns, and Government Communication. He has received several awards: among them the Aristotle Award for Excellence 2010, in the Dream Team of the year that is made up of the ten best consultants in the world on political campaigns. He has received the EIKON award twice (2009 and 2012). He has participated in 138 electoral campaigns in Argentina and Latin America. He is a member of the International Association of Political Consultants (IAPC). Between 2018 and 2021 he was Vice President of CADAL and before that he collaborated as advisory director.
Bernabé García Hamilton, Lawyer (UBA) with a Master in Business Law (ESEADE). Adjunct Professor in the Subject "Economic Analysis" at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (UBA). He collaborated in the Book "Civil and Commercial Contracts", Ghersi, Carlos and collaborators (Astrea) and Co-Author of the "Jurisprudential Analysis Collection. Civil and Commercial Contracts ”, Ghersi, Carlos and Collaborators (La Ley). Between 2018 and 2021 he was Secretary of CADAL and previously collaborated as academic advisor.
José Montaldo is an industrial engineer by the University of Buenos Aires, he has an MBA from the IAE, and has numerous postgraduate courses. He developed his professional career of more than 30 years in top-level steel and energy companies in Argentina (Techint Organization, Natural Gas in Compañía General de Combustibles, Transportadora de Gas del Sur and Transportadora de Gas del Norte). He currently serves as Director of Communications for WeHaus IoT and teaches undergraduate and graduate subjects at UCA. Between 2015 and 2021 he was a member of CADAL's Business Advisory Council.
