Meeting with Mario Vargas Llosa

Within the frame of the 20th anniversary of Instituto Libertad y Desarrollo (Chile), there was a series of meetings in Santiago with Latin American journalists, that ended with a close meeting with writer Mario Vargas Llosa, recent winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. The meeting was coordinated by Tristán Rodríguez Loredo, Director of the Advisory Council of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL).

Within the frame of the 20th anniversary of Instituto Libertad y Desarrollo (Chile), there was a series of meetings in Santiago with Latin American journalists, that ended with a close meeting with writer Mario Vargas Llosa, recent winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. The meeting was coordinated by Tristán Rodríguez Loredo, Director of the Advisory Council of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL).

Gabriel Salvia, General Director of CADAL, also took part of the meeting together with journalists from Argentina, Bolivia, United States, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.

The commemorative activities for the 20th anniversary of the influential Instituto Libertad y Desarrollo, considered the most important think tank in Latin America, took place in the Chilean capital city from 16 to 18 of december, with the participation of speakers and assistants from Latin America, United States and Europe, among them former Chief of State José María Aznar (Spain), Jorge Quiroga (Bolivia) and Álvaro Uribe (Colombia). The event had the support of different international organizations, among them Fundación Internacioonal para la Libertad (FIL), chaired by Mario Vargas Llosa.
