CADAL received the Human Rights Watch administrative team

A score of members of Human Rights Watch's administrative team, from the organization's various offices in the world, visited the headquarter of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL) in Buenos Aires to get to know better the work CADAL does and learn more about the situation of human rights in the region.

The entourage, headed by Mary-Ann Murray, Senior Operations Manager of Human Rights Watch, became interested in the work of CADAL and exchanged questions and experiences with the President of CADAL, Sybil Rhodes; the General Director, Gabriel Salvia; the Programs Director, Hernan Alberro and the Project Coordinator, Diana Arévalo.

Among other topics, they talked about the difficulties faced by international human rights organizations to work globally and regionally; the challenges of maintaining independent positions and the situations that human rights have in countries of the region.
