Elections in the United States and its impact on Latin America

Prof. Mark Jones was invited to a new meeting of the Latin American Forum Buenos Aires, this time to discuss the presidential elections in the United States and its impact on America.

Prof. Mark Jones was invited to a new meeting of the Latin American Forum Buenos Aires, this time to discuss the presidential elections in the United States and its impact on America.

The Forum was held at the headquarters of CADAL and was sponsored by the Embassy of the United States of America.

 

Prof. Mark Jones is Director of the Department of Political Science at Rice University. He has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan and specializes in research on the effect of electoral laws and other political institutions of government, representation and voting. He has received significant financial support for research, including two grants from the National Science Foundation. His recent articles have appeared in journals such as American Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, and Legislative Studies Quarterly. Professor Jones has conducted research on political and public policy in the Americas for many local, national and international organizations, including the city of Houston, the Inter-American Development Bank, the United Nations Program for Development and U.S. government.
