Conference on the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Totalitarianism - 2021
This year the conference will analyze the Covid-19 pandemic in closed society contexts, where there is no freedom of the press, access to public information and political opposition is outlawed. The conference recalls the date of the signing of the pact between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union in 1939. The European Parliament adopted this day ''Considering that deportations, murders and mass enslavement perpetrated in the context of acts of aggression of the Stalinism and Nazism fall into the category of war crimes and crimes against humanity. '' Promoted by CADAL and promoted by the deputy Cecilia de la Torre (1962-2016) and her colleague Francisco Quintana, the Buenos Aires legislature adopted this day by law 5608 of the year 2015 in the City of Buenos Aires.
