Before the XL General Assembly of the OAS in Lima, Red Puente Democrático Latinoamericano formed by CADAL, organized at the Gau auditorium of the Peruvian Congress, the first edition of Inter-American Democratic Forum with speakers from Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
The first panel focused on "The new challenges of rule of law and democratic institutions in Latin America", with guest speakers: Gabriel Salvia (Argentina), Heinz Sonntag (Venezuela), Rafael Yamashiro Ore (Peru) and Jorge Del Castillo (Peru), coordinated by Jorge Maldonado (Chile).
The second panel was dedicated to "Foreign policy, human rights and regional committment with the promotion of democracy" with the coordination of Jorge Villena (Peru) and the participation of Ricardo Uceda (Peru), Lourdes Flores (Peru), Enrique Arturo de Obarrio (Panama) and Paulo Uebel (Brazil).
